It's striking that this edition pairs Hurricane Preparedness with ocean conservation, since both ultimately depend on the same coastal ecosystems. Healthy mangroves and reefs act as natural buffers against storm surge, so disaster planning and marine protection aren't separate concerns. I'd be curious whether the consulate has considered framing these two topics together in future outreach, especially for diaspora members who own property along the coast. That connection might make both issues feel more urgent and practical.
