It gives us great pleasure to welcome you to the Diaspora Relations Unit (DRU) under the Ministry of Tourism and Diaspora Relations.

The primary objective of the DRU is to strengthen Belize’s presence on the international stage while contributing to national development through the following goals:

• Increasing exports and attracting investment

• Supporting and informing Belizeans abroad

• Encouraging expertise exchange

• Identifying philanthropic opportunities

We believe that building strong, lasting relationships with our diaspora creates a dynamic platform to showcase Belize’s strengths and to facilitate the exchange of ideas, resources, and opportunities.

This platform aims to inform, educate, and connect our community by sharing valuable updates on social, cultural, and political events and initiatives. Preserving and celebrating our heritage abroad is essential to Belize’s continued progress.
